The 10 signs of being in love (heat) with the Jackman

Warning: this is not a movie review for X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Dedicated to: Polverone (number 1 fan of Wolverine since childhood)

10. Whenever he walks with his legs in view (with or without pants), your jaws drop. You don’t scream anymore like a teeny bopper.

9. Whenever his face appears close up on screen, especially with his killer brows, even when he’s all DIRTY and OILY, you let go of your movie date’s hand and just want to grab Hugh’s face with both hands and kiss him.

8. You never liked Schwarzenegger-type of muscular men all your life, until Hugh Jackman became the FIRST and ONLY exception.

7. You’ve always loved JOHNNY DEPP and JAMES FRANCO, and admired older men like Robert Downey Jr., but you never fantasized at least making out with them. Until Hugh Jackman appeared even in his ‘ugliest’ angle, the word ‘BED’ came to your CONSIDERATION (read: CONSIDERATION, not DESIRE). You blame him for being too matured!

6. You won’t have a hard time anymore answering these questions:
a. Who is the ultimate hottest star for you (and when ONLY one answer is required).
b. All other ‘fantasy’ questions (vague).

5. You don’t care about what other girls/women might say against him. You BELIEVE they have the WORST taste in the world. And that’s an established fact for you. You might even be happy about it because there are less competitors than that of Johnny Depp.

4. Yes, you may be fantasizing him but you’re still thinking of having a decent SERIOUS date with him. And if that happens, you just show your PURE RESPECT to him and keep those useless fantasies to yourself.

3. When Logan (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) loses his memory, you unconsciously BREAK UP with your movie date (I’m really sorry…).

2. You retract your breakup proposal with your movie date and convince him to invite Hugh Jackman to a three-person private party. Besides, you’re both fans!

1. You blog about it to release your inhibitions and hope for the return of your sanity because this might just be some infatuation with someone who doesn’t know YET that you exist.

(After sneaking into his external HD and found good old pictures)

Aside from the fact that we look so young in the old pictures, and so old in the not-so-old ones…

I miss ‘Terabithia’… where a warm hand once led me to a garden with aquariums after stopping by the laundry station and the money changer. And everything else that happened during that day, I still remember.

This is what I want to dream about for every precious nap that’s long enough. :)
P.S. Bridge to Terabithia is a pot/crystal meth/coke flick.

Dicta License has been disbanded for almost a year. I only knew just now, International Labor Day 2008, and to me this is a big deal. I was a fan since the very first radio air of Duct Tape, long before I finally lost my socio-political blindfold. Given that Elmer "Ka Bong" Labog, National Chairperson of KMU, crossed my mind today, I remembered (now Attourney Norberto Pocholo) "Pochoy" Labog. I visited the Dicta License Yahoogroup for some new stuff, and I eventually found out about the disbandment. I still have hopes though, remembering Zack de la Rocha going solo after RATM disbanded.

I am now in the workforce, and will celebrate the occasion in Manila. I badly miss the practice that’s missing in/with theory, where agitation and true love come together.

I hate coffee shop revolution-ary-ism. I don’t even hang out in coffee shops.

Please take me back to you. (this is not about Pochoy or Dicta)

Poverty: An Attempt to Defend our Elitists
January 29, 2008, 9:28 am
Filed under: Culture, Society, Politics, Political Economy

Sure, our third world elites do not like to see their country comprising of a majority in the low class (what they call "masa"). You see, they (the elites and other lower class elitists) are happy to know that there is actually class mobility, one by one among the poor people who are and should be industrious, sometimes given sensationally publicized charity like a pseudo-business for subsistence living. Class mobility, one by one, in a sense, is not really for everyone but for those who ‘deserve it’.  It’s ironic how we want to overcome poverty while believing in this one-by-one type of class mobility.

Sure, our third world elites do not like their country comprising of a very big majority in the low class. They just want an enough amount (a small majority but still a majority), enough for all the dirty low-pay work. Just enough, no surplus or shortage of labor-intensive employees. Thus, this one-by-one approach to class mobility seems to solve it. Thank you, dear utilitarian elitists.

- Naalala ko yung dating classmate ko sa Geog 1 regarding our population debate.. Nang mapunta sa poverty issue, sabi niya "Kung wala nang mahirap sa bansa natin, sino magmamaneho ng mga jeepney?"
